Nice to meet you! Welcome!
My name is Emily and I am an art therapist in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal
I received my masters degree in Creative Arts Therapies (Art Therapy Option) from Concordia University. My clinical training has brought me to educational, community, and healthcare settings where I have worked with older-adults, young adults, and school-aged youth individually and in group contexts.
Before I trained to be a therapist I worked for many summers at sleepaway camps, learning the value of togetherness, fun, and letting participants define — and celebrate! — their own meaning of success. After completing my studies at Concordia I worked for the Art Hives Network as an art therapist in a community art studio and spent time developing and facilitating social-emotional learning programs in Montreal classrooms through Collective Community Services.
Currently, I work part-time at a high school offering individual and group art therapy to students. I also maintain a private practice working individually with youth and adults. You can read more about my therapeutic approach and professional values by clicking Approach at the bottom of the page.
